Simon AI can notify your team about account activity via Slack and email — so you stay informed without logging into the platform.

Admin: Configuring Slack Alerts

Account admins enable Slack delivery for the entire organization.

  1. Navigate to Alerts & StatusAlert Preferences
  2. Review the full list of available alert types, each identified by name and message code
  3. For each alert you want to enable:
    • Toggle the alert on
    • Enter a Slack channel name to enable Slack delivery if desired
  4. Save your changes

Users: Subscribing to Email Alerts

Individual users can subscribe to email delivery for any alerts an admin has enabled.

  1. Click your name, then Profile in the lower-left navigation
  2. Scroll to Notification Preferences
  3. Toggle on the alerts you want to receive by email
  4. Click Save

Note

Only account admins can enable alerts organization-wide. If you need a specific alert enabled, contact your admin.


Available Alert Types

Alert Preferences includes 31 configurable alert types organized by name and message code. These cover:

Data Alerts

  • Data refreshes (started, completed, failed)
  • Field availability changes
  • Extraction failures and retries
  • Query extract completed after failure
  • File ingestion errors
  • Lookup pipeline activity
  • Integration authentication events

Flow and Journey Alerts

  • Flow sync completion and errors
  • Content errors
  • Permission issues
  • Missing integrations (Responsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Facebook, Google Ads, and others)
  • Journey segment changes

Outage Alerts

  • System-wide Outage — notifies when a platform-wide outage is declared
  • Service Outage — notifies when a specific Simon service experiences an outage

Alert History

To view a log of all triggered alerts for your organization:

  1. Navigate to Alerts & Status
  2. Select Alert History

Alert History displays all activated notifications regardless of your subscription settings, giving you a complete audit trail of account activity at any time.
